Born in Austria, Chef Karl Dobler, a veteran with 29 years of experience, has worked in renowned restaurants in Austria, Switzerland, Australia and Singapore namely, 2-star Michelin restaurant in Hotel Ascolago, Switzerland where he worked for 5 years.
He came to Singapore in 1996, headed the kitchen of the now-defunct Salut Restaurant and left for Australia again in 1999. In 2004, he came back and joined Flutes at the Fort. After a year, Chef Karl decided that he needed to spend more time with his family without having to compromise his love for cooking. Hence, he decided to venture into private dining which allows him more flexibility in time management. Besides in-house private functions and outdoor catering, he coordinates monthly cooking lessons as well. |
